Uncertain Times

3/12/21Events with more than 500 people must be cancelled or postponed and Broadway shows shut down. We have Dubu and wine which makes things ok

people including us were thinking this thing would last a few weeks maybe. At this point it was still unknown what Dubu was like, was he a killer? Did he just retaliate against that dog that humped him because he didn't know he had a family yet after 3 weeks of us having him and he thought it was a dog eat dog world? Is he just bad in dog parks where the flight option is gone leaving only fight when something he doesn't like happens? Was he still sore and healing from his recent neutering? I tried a few times trying to get him acclimated to the muzzle but then the pandemic took the wind out of those sails as it looked more and more like a long term thing (here we are on 12/28/21 2 yrs into it still)

really having to walk this guy 4-5x a day during the pandemic has kept me going

TRIGGER WARNING: heres a good example of how he likes to poop on elevated things and not on the ground like a normal dog.

3/17/21 NYC bars and restaurants close except for delivery, schools closed the day before

a new kind of liter, gloves and masks. Eventually the gloves stop as people lose the will to wear gloves and it seems they aren't needed that much. People were washing their groceries and disinfecting everything at the beginning of the pandemic because we didn't know anything about Covid19 yet. Misinformation abounded

tryin the closet as the grow room for vegetable seedlings

going to the grocery store is scary at the beginning of the pandemic especially little neighborhood crowded ones like ours in South Slope. No one knew for sure how the disease was spread, how long you have to be in the presence of someone with covid to get it etc. It really was taking 2 ikea bags to the store to get as many groceries as possible as fast as possible so we didnt have to go to the grocery store for weeks

some people had more time for cooking

there started to be shortages of stuff like toilet paper and flour so everyone started stockpiling food which became a vicious self fulfilling cycle. hand sanitizer, wipes, masks, gloves are all in short supply or impossible to find. Here there's juuk korean rice porridge, Golumpki stuffed cabbage from the polish butcher and other frozen stuff anticipating if we got sick we'd be incapacitated and unable to do anymore than microwave something if we got covid

the park becomes even more of a gem and valuable because its still open during the lockdown

foolishly optimistic grafitti. This person couldn't have predicted the state of the country and the divide btwn people. wearing a mask becomes a political statement, getting vaccinated would be a political battle, lockdown protests and violence abound around the world. But for now the world knows little about the virus.

Lockdown made me get out the nintendo bob got me one birthday and we tried to play the original final fantasy one night for hours and its unplayable so that was that. I was left wanting more video games...

3/21/20
