the Pink Girl hybrid tomato plant has just been serving up blossom end rot tomatoes, maybe cuz its in a 16" round self watering planter from Lowe's and the reservoir is only like half a gallon so I've been heavily watering from the top as well....

The sungold cherry tomato plant has been gifting plenty of tomatoes and combined with Jenny's cold noodle lunches its swell, some gaennip or shiso, sesame seeds, onions and some kinda dressing and you're in business.

also great on broccoli, bacon, mushroom quiches.

the 2018 world cup lead to 1 full day and at least one half day of productivity loss.  Steven was really into it especially cuz England made it to the final four.  We watch a few games at the Black Horse pub a block over

The Heirlooms are almost there

France won the 2018 world cup against Croatia and the scene was wild outside French restaurant Bar Tabac where they showed the game outside on the street which happened to coincide with Bastille day that shuts the street down every year, so what a great day for French New York.  The outside screens were on a like 15 second delay so the people inside would be tossing beers and going crazy when France scored and outside people would know its coming.

The biggest almost 1 pound boy.  Cherokee Purple heirloom tomato.  Heirlooms are generally $5/lb so you're looking at a $5 tomato here and the taste is such that you can't even buy, even the farmers market heirlooms don't taste like what you grow yourself. Not bragging its just true and now that it's october it makes me sad tomato season is coming to an end.
