our first knights doing a test run on our first night with our segway jousting setups. I was thinking we didnt need face masks but I did catch a pole right to the mouth before we got the masks.

on initial viewing it might appear as if I lance steven right in the face which isn't cool in real jousting and segway jousting. but you can see in the video our tips touch (insert joke here) and send my lance flying into his face and his into my crotch. In real and segway jousting you're supposed to go only for the shield to score points and hopefully de-horse them.

I did an intro and handed the mic over to bob who had prepared some sentiments due to his time teaching and if was very heartfelt and then handed the mic over to mom after chants for SPEECH SPEECH SPEECH. She choked up a little and had some nice sentiments and it was all a heartfelt moment in time. Also I commissioned an artist (Robert Raish for $1) for the illustrations on the banner that Kimie printed on her plotter.

the last day a bunch of people left but Maiko and Eisuke stopped by and camped out for the last night on their way from NYC back to Michigan. In the party tent that night Steven told the story of cops raiding the NYC apt he was sleeping in and saying of course he's British he looks like F*#&ing Rod Stewart (cuz of his long unruly hair back then). Eisuke told us about his bad boy younger days in Tokyo. We were all exhausted at that point and maybe should limit the good times to 3 nights next time instead of 4.
