Hipcamp

Hipcamp is an organization who's goal is to get more people outside and make it easy to discover and book campsites.  They sponsored this weekend camping thing in upstate New York in Ghent.  Check em out here https://www.hipcamp.com/

Northface and Gear Commons provided tents for everyone

we were the cool kids for a brief moment in the saturday sun when we whipped out our wiffle ball set

meat is gross.  it's delicious but it's gross.  This guy was pretty good

people said I looked like a hipster John Snow, I said shut up I don't watch that show, and then pulled out my sword and slayed them

s'mores.  At this point everyone was good and drunk on free sponsored booze from Lagunitas beer, City Winery, and Deep Red Vodka and it was definitely time for bed.  I woke up with a melted hershey's bar in my pocket

the night was so so so cold in that tent.  And then it got so so so hot once the sun came out.

Blue Bottle coffee from San Francisco set up a table in the morning to provide caffeine.  Overall I've been told this is not "glamping".  I guess Glamping is even more pampered.

an odd thing to sell at a gas station

We happened upon a beach.  We were just looking for grass to lay on at the Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park and stumbled upon an afternoon at the beach and row boating.
