2015 The Year in Review - Part 1

Time for my 2015 year in review.  Year in review instead of "best of" because the bad stuff that happens in life is important too.  Overall it looks like a pretty cheery celebration of life in 64 photos.  Here is part 1.
2015 started out with horrible polar vortex weather like 2014.  This was supposed to be a "snowpacalypse" that thankfully didn't end up so bad.  It was cold as balls.

Jen got us Jack White and Run the Jewels tickets at Madison square garden for my birthday
got a sweet Onkyo TX-NR636 reciever
spent an entire day making Beef Bourguinon for Valentine's day

we went to San Diego and visited Stacy and Phil.  La Joya is a pretty cool area
We explored more of Southern California and went to Joshua tree national park
Slot Canyon in Anza-Borrego National park
spring brought tons of Magnolia's in our neighborhood to life.

finally got to fly this Japanese Koi Nobori on children's day march 5th

we had the most lovely mother's day picnic all set up at a nice park, the dogs were there, the sun was shining, we made a bunch of delicious picnic foods and had a grand cheese board set out and then a flash storm came and rained us out.  We got completely soaked and were shirtless but at least we had a full cheese board on my lap for the drive home

a Hip Camp camping weekend in upstate NY
picked Jen up from Binghamton in the parent's Z3
spent the most time ever in Canisteo, NY this year since when I came back from studying in Korea and spent the summer there.
A few weeks later I would be back for my grandfather's funeral.  Rest in peace Bob Raish Sr.
we discovered the Jalopy tavern and these guys were awesome amongst lots of awesome acts we've seen there.
the brooklyn crab in redhook served us well this summer.
we went to Cuba!  We got engaged!
Viñales was the highlight of the Cuba trip.
on the way back from cuba we went to jen's friend's wedding in mexico, my first time there.  We crossed the border into San Diego on foot which was quite an unexpected experience and took hours.

saw 2 free concerts in prospect park this year, Punch Brothers and Tune Yards/Shabbaz Palaces
