Around - Part 1

Around paris, part 1

looks like petanque (similar to bocce ball) is a hipster sport in paris now, just like ping pong.  coolness, these two petanque pitches are by my house.  this is the corner of moulin des pres and bobillot

Wanderlust was the hottest thing this summer according to everyone, i even saw a NYTimes article about it.  its like this and then there is a small dance room the size of a squash court and then a big outdoor terrace, which is the draw.  i went with my korean friend hyeonjeong and 3 sets of people asked us where we're from and talked to us.  at least when they guess here they guess japanese

the terrace, it's on the seine

yayoi kusama is now a worldwide celeb.  she's this crazy old japanese artist who is as much art as her artwork is.  this is one of the windows at galeries lafayette

inside galeries lafayette.  this stuff is expensive!  i have to admit that a lot of it is super cool and if i was a girl with money i would want to rock this stuff.  they had ceramic collars with these dots on them!  girls get to wear the coolest stuff.

the good thing about galeries lafayette is the rooftop, online places say it has a 360 degree view but i from what i saw that is false.  more like 240 degree view.  still awesome though.  look at these rooftops!

liking the architecture.  check out those round windows

printemps just down the street is another high end shopping structure with a supposed 360 degree view on the roof.  again not totally true.

at least you can see montmatre from here

eiffel tower in the back.

montparnasse tower in the back.  i know, enough with the rooftop pics already.
