Hong Kong Day - 7

why all the green titles?  i was trying to go with what seems to be the color of Hong Kong, green.  it's everywhere.

Eugi brought me to Tin Hau the next station over from Causeway bay.  its up and coming and is pretty cool and worth checking out if you have time after the normal touristy stuff.

a small local dim sum place.  You're supposed to wash all your stuff in tea first.

some of the classics

i love these kind of places.

couldn't decide which one of these photos i liked better. is that maya angelou in the background for some reason?  shame on me for not knowing who that is.

The Bank of China Tower.  One of the most recognizable buildings in HK and also NOT the location where they filmed batman.  I asked the useless receptionists and they asked other receptionists and then instead of saying they don't know they just said yes it is the location where they filmed batman!  It was filmed at the IFC towers 1 and 2 you stupid biotches!

the elevator there has two options.

the smaller bastard child bank of china.  oh they could just say batman was filmed here too, why not?

two for one!

the stall at cat bazaar street where i bought that cane for my dad.

i love HK's versions of western food.  here is the french toast they are always eating.

Eugi

the restaurant from Wong Kar Wai's must see movie "In the Mood for Love"  the theme here is that you must see Wong Kar Wai movies.  Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung eat dinner here to the tune of a Nat King Cole song in spanish.  of course for the movie the lighting and atmosphere is moodier but he has to get them "in the mood for love" right?

last time i came here 4 years ago i was on the verge of food poisoning from earlier in the day.  i remember being disappointed that i couldn't finish these delectable pork chops.

the name of the place is the goldfinch.

the peak tram.  at the viewing terrace at the top of the peak (costs money of course) they are nice enough to have a monitor showing the conditions up top before you buy the expensive tickets.  how nice of them.  but why can't they have one at the bottom of the mountain before you ride the peak tram and spend 20 minutes to get up there

so conditions were so foggy that you couldn't see anything

disappointing and a waste of time.  i had time to squeeze in another trip where it was clear though!
